Children
The goal of our Children's Ministry is to connect children to: God, Christian friends, their community, and the world. We do this by providing age-graded classes on Sunday mornings and large group worship on Wednesday nights.
Sunday Morning
1st grade students will acknowledge God—as Lord of heaven and earth. Kids will experience God's view of family, work, worship, and community as they join a Bible-times family and discover what living in God's world was like 2000 years ago! Children are engaged in class with hands-on activities and Biblical truths that build a framework for all their future Bible exploration.
2nd grade students will embrace the Bible—as God's inspired and authoritative message for everyone. Kids will cultivate a deep appreciation for the richness and power of Scripture; and the Bible will become their lifelong companion. Depend on the rock-solid Bible for God's guidance!
3rd grade students will get the Big Picture as they review the Bible in a year. Kids will see how God has a complete story to tell from the Genesis to Revelation. Games, art, skits, object talks, music, and Bible stories will pack their hour.
4th grade students will learn about what it means to be a Christian. They will discover the essentials of being fully committed followers of Jesus Christ, the gifts that God gives them to serve others, how to study the Bible, and how to abide in their Savoir.
5th and 6th grade students will be captivated when they dig into real-life issues. They will be engaged through attention-grabbing lessons, thought-provoking videos, fun games, and deep life-changing Bible lessons.
It’s my first time. Where do I go and what do I do?
Children’s Connection Groups are located in the Rock Building, the old stone building at the east side of the campus. Visitors will be greeted at the front door and shown to their age-appropriate class. Once in the class you will be introduced to your teachers and asked to fill out a visitor card. After that it’s time for the fun to begin. After class, teachers allow children to leave class to meet family members unless the parent asks for the student to wait for a parent.
Where is my class?
The Rock Building consists of three floors. After you enter the foyer you must go up or down a set of stairs. The stairs leading down will take you to the 3rd and 4th grade rooms. The stairs leading up will take you to the 1st, 2nd, 5th/6th Boys and 5th/6th Girls rooms. The 1st and 2nd grade room are located on the middle floor and the 5th and 6th grade rooms are on the top floor. Each classroom has a sign next to the door with the grade and teachers' names. Wednesday Evening
1st-4th grade students join together for worship kid-style, with fun songs, exciting games, and meaningful devotionals. After worship children will rotate through different classes such as Missions, Music, Bible and Hands-On Activities.
5th and 6th grade students go through the same worship and classes on a different schedule.
We meet in the Rock Building.
