From now until Easter we are asking everyone in our church to pray for three things:

3G Prayer focuses on three relationships; our relationship with God, our relationships with one another and our relationships within our community.   Our desire is to experience growth in all three of these areas. 

Grow in Full Surrender to God
Romans 12:1
Our lives are to lived out as expressions of worship to God.  We want to hold nothing back.  Every area of our lives completely given over to God, no exceptions. 

Grow in Sacrificial Service to One Another
John 13:34-35
It is not enough to like someone, or to treat them kindly or to feel warm feelings toward them.  Scripture repeatedly commands us to love one another as Christ loved us..  We see a picture of this kind of love within the early church, recorded in Acts 2:42-47.  Radical love like this involves sacrifice.  It requires us to give of ourselves for the benefit of another. 

Grow in Faithful Witness in Our Community
Matthew 9:36-38
As Christ followers we are on mission.  God has called us to "Go."  So we are committing ourselves to be used by God to engage our neighbors, our co-workers, our friends, the parents in the stands next to us, and anyone else He directs us to.  We will not sit back and wait for them to visit our church or ask us about spiritual things.  We will boldly share about the things God has done in our lives ans seek opportunities to share the gospel.

3G Prayer is happening in conjunction with our participation in TX Hope 2010.  We have committed ourselves to join with other churches around the state to bring the hope of Christ to every person in Texas by Easter 2010. 
We will join with other local churches in delivering 15,000 multi-media discs to homes in Corryell county.  Each disc contains a clearly presented gospel message as well as video testimonies and online resources.  We will also be gathering donations of food and money to help feed the more than 3 millions hungry children in Texas.
