“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”  ~Luke 18:16
At First Baptist we love kids!  We are dedicated to providing a place where kids of all ages can learn about God’s love in the way and at a level uniquely suited to them. Our colorful, kid-friendly environment is a great place for preschoolers to discover God and His love.  Teaching children with a safe, secure and loving atmosphere is our top priority as we partner with you to lay a Biblical foundation for your child’s spiritual growth.
The Cove is our center for all children from birth to 5 years old (Kindergarten). These rooms are staffed by dedicated volunteers and workers who enjoy serving Jesus by loving on kids.
While here your kids will enjoy fun activities, crafts, music, and interactive Bible lessons.

Nursery FAQs

We strive to maintain a safe and secure environment for all our children – both in the selection of teachers we entrust them to and in their protection from any outsiders in our building. Every volunteer must complete and pass a background screen to ensure they are of good character and without criminal history.

Personal Items

Please bring a change of clothes for all preschoolers while they are in our care. Depending on the age of your child, be sure to send disposable diapers, bottles, formula, pacifiers, sippy cups, etc. appropriate for the length of time your child will be spending with us.  Be sure all items brought are labeled with your child’s name. Any item such as a blanket or animal that a child cannot live without will be accepted, but toys or other items are provided in the rooms and should not be brought from home

Paging System

We encourage parents of our younger visitors (birth through 18 months) to pick up a pager when dropping off your children in the nursery. This enables us to contact you quickly in the event of illness or other emergency.

We are unable to accept a child if he/she has had a fever in the last 24 hours or has diarrhea, a contagious rash, vomiting, heavy nasal bronchial congestion, croup, congestive cough or pink eye.  We cannot give any medication.  If your child becomes ill while in our care, we will contact you immediately.

Thanks for partnering with us as we strive to provide your child with a fun and meaningful experience while in our care. We consider it an honor and a privilege to communicate the Father’s love to your little ones in a safe, secure environment.
