At First Baptist we love kids!

We are dedicated to providing a place where children (in grades 1-6) can learn about God’s love in the way and at a level uniquely suited to them. Our colorful, kid-friendly environment is a great place for your child to discover God and His love. Teaching children within a safe, secure, and loving atmosphere is our top priority as we partner with you to lay a Biblical foundation for your child’s spiritual growth.

All children's workers are screened and trained through Ministry Safe and we closely follow our Child Protection Policy to ensure that your child is in the safest environment possible.

How We’re Keeping Your Child Safe During COVID

  • As children enter the room they are asked to sanitize or wash their hands.
  • We give each child their own box of supplies.
  • We will not serve snacks. There may be an occasional application activity that requires food but it will be prepackaged and proper cleaning before and after will occur.
  • During class children will be encouraged to wear a mask when they are not sitting in their socially-distanced chair.
  • Only one family member in the foyer to pick up children after Connection Groups.
  • Sanitation of all spaces and items used after each class.

Sunday Morning

9:45 am & 11:00 am

What a Sunday morning looks like for a 1-3 grade student:

Children will attend worship with their parents until the music portion ends and Pastor Mark invites the children to head to the back and exit with the teachers. We will move to the Hub room in the Children’s Building. In the Hub children will start with a quick opening activity then hear a creativity told Bible story and work on memorizing a verse from the Bible. While parents are dismissing from worship and moving to Connection Group, your 1-3 grader will move into a small group where they will discuss what they learned and how it is important to their lives then participate in a fun application activity. For your child to get the most out of the lesson please allow them to attend the Hub and CG time.

What a Sunday morning looks like for a 4-6 grade student:

Preteens will take part in the entire worship service with their parents. As parents move to Connection Group, so will the preteens. They will meet in their room in the Children’s Building to tackle a different life and faith questions each week in a fun, hands-on, and thought-provoking environment.
