Melinda Burch has served as the Children’s Minister since 2013. Her desire is for children to know and experience God which leads to a growing relationship with our Savior and Lord. Offering encouragement and help to parents as they disciple their children is also a joy to her. She has recently accepted the additional position of Minister of Connections, where she hopes to help newcomers and members find their place in the FBC Cove family.
Melinda was born and raised in Colorado by loving Christian parents. She moved to Texas to attend Texas Tech University where she earned a History degree with a minor in Education. While in college, she started working with children through her church and knew that is what God was calling her to do.
Melinda met her husband, David, while they were ministering to children and families. They continue to minister together as often as they can. David is an Adapted PE teacher for CCISD and Deacon at FBC Cove. David and Melinda have two beautiful red-headed daughters who have grown up learning and serving at FBC. Kyndal lives and works in San Antonio with her husband, Tyler. Candice is serving with Life Action Ministry at The Camp in Michigan.
Spending time with her family, getting dinner with friends, baking, or watching food competition shows is how she spends her free time
