Melinda Burch has served as the Children’s Minister since 2013. Her desire is for children to know and experience God which leads to a growing relationship with our Savior and Lord. Offering encouragement and help to parents as they disciple their children is also a joy to her.
Melinda was born and raised in Colorado by loving Christian parents. She moved to Texas to attend Texas Tech University where she earned a History degree with a minor in Education. While in college, she started working with children through her church and knew that is what God was calling her to do.
Melinda met David while they were ministering to children and families and were married just eleven months later. They continue to minister together and can’t stand to be apart. David is an Adapted PE teacher for CCISD and Deacon at FBC Cove. David and Melinda have two beautiful red-headed daughters who have grown up loving and serving at FBC. Kyndal is working towards becoming a flight attendant and Candice is finishing her homeschool education.
When Melinda has free time, she enjoys baking, serving with her daughters in their service group, and doing whatever the family is doing as long as it’s before 9:30pm.
